2010/11 ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP OUTRIGHT BETTING ODDS

It's common knowledge that the English Championship ranks among the world's most competitive football leagues and this year's edition looks no different. It's a very interesting situation when you contrast the odds for the Premier League and the Championship year-over-year as the payouts for the Championship are always significantly higher.
Chelsea are at something like 13/8 to win the Premier League while Middlesbrough are the outright favourites to finish top of the Championship with an 11/2 price tag. 'Boro are clear favourites as there is some distance between them and their nearest competitors, Nottingham Forest, who can be backed at a straight 7/1.
Burnley look to be competitive in regards to bouncing right back to the top level and they are third favourites, priced at an enticing 9/1.
Up-and-coming Queens Park Rangers are competitively-priced and you can back them to win the Championship at a 10/1 listing. I don't know about backing them for outright winner at this point but they are certainly strong candidates for promotion.
Reading are just behind QPR at an 11/1 price while Cardiff are usually in contention at some point and they're trading around 14/1. Ipswich, Leicester, Norwich, Sheffield United and Leeds are all sitting at 16/1 for the outright victory. One or two of these may squeak a playoff spot but they would truly need something special to win the 2010/11 Championship. I don't think that will
stop a certain element of the Leeds United faithful from having a bash there though.
Bristol City can be backed at 18/1 with Hull and Portsmouth priced at 20/1. Swansea is sitting at 25/1 with Derby County at 40/1. Millwall, Preston, Coventry, Doncaster and Crystal Palace can be had at 50/1 with Watford and Barnsley at 100/1. Scunthorpe brings up the caboose at a 150/1 price tag.
As a side note, Kris Boyd is favoured for top goalscorer with a 7/1 price putting him well ahead of 11/1 Michael Chopra. I suggest keeping your eye on Billy Sharp at 16/1.
Middlesbrough's promotion odds are at 2/1 with Burnley, Nottingham Forest and QPR all at 11/4 for promotion. Reading is priced at 7/2.
Championship relegation favourites are Scunthorpe at 11/10, Barnsley at 13/8 and Pompey at 2/1. It is worth noting that no teams are listed at odds-on prices to drop through the trap-door to League 1.
