2012 Dubai World Cup Day Betting Preview Part Three

There is a massive $10,000,000 up for grabs to the top finishers in the 2012 Dubai World Cup and the world's richest race has attracted a very intriguing line-up with a genuine contrast between many of these runners. Capponi has really put together an impressive few months in Dubai and he's been continually ignored by punters despite bringing home a number of results – beating many who are in this race already over course and distance. He will need to be a part of your tricast tickets as you can fully expect him to hit the board.

Mendip has had a good season as well despite a solitary victory from three runs. I think they've had him pointed at this one for a while and didn't want to take too much out of him so I throw out the other two results. So You Think as last seen in the Breeders' Cup Classic and he'll be looking to factor here on a surface that should be a bit more comfortable for him. He's a bit of a wild card at this point though.

A pair of Asian contenders Eishin Flash and Smart Falcon couldn't be more different but both look to have claims for this one. Smart Falcon just doesn't appear to lose while Eishin Flash hasn't won for a while but has looked very threatening.

Silver Pond has the benefit of a practice run under his belt but doesn't look like he's going to be a big factor based on his ratings. He hasn't won since Chantilly last summer but has been continually running against the world's best.

One of the biggest stories heading into this one is American jockey Chantal Sutherland riding Game On Dude in the Classic – the first female to appear in the race. The son of Awesome Again has been an ever-present in many big contests this year and Sutherland is one of racing's highest profile individuals. Game On Dude is incredibly dangerous with a front-end trip thanks to his high cruising speed that many here might not be used to dealing with.

American mare Royal Delta won the Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic and was purchased for $8,500,000 with an eye on this race. She didn't win her prep, but they likely didn't want to leave it all on track that day. It's shaping up to be a very fascinating contest.
