2015/16 Champions League Group Stage Betting Tips PT 2

Bayern Munich are the understandable second favourites for the Champions League and, though they have lost a few players this summer, they have added some really solid members to their roster of players and you can expect them to kick on nicely here and make a real play for European glory.

They are a good distance off of the favourites position however and you’ll find them trading at a 9/2 margin at the time of this writing. Expect them to sail through their group and smoke the early few rounds of the knockout stages. An organized and professional team like Bayern Munich will always be a force to be reckoned with in European football going forward and we firmly expect this year to be absolutely no exception to that golden rule.

You’ll find Real Madrid available at an 11/2 margin to recapture the Champions League this year after doing impressively last time around to get the elusive European cup victory over one of the better Champions League challengers we have seen in quite some time.

The shortest priced UK team is Chelsea who can be backed at an 8/1 margin at the time of this writing but you really do have to wonder about whether their mixed Premier League form will actually translate into something better and more cohesive when they start facing off against the higher-calibre European competition.

That actually raises a very interesting point about how things are going to be evolving between Premier League clubs and European football. With the big TV money flowing into English football one of the biggest trends we have seen - this season in particular - is that the lower level and mid-table clubs can now afford to splash the cash on some big stars and this has made the Premier League more competitive with teams like Swansea, Southampton and even Leicester City emerging as clubs that can give anybody a game on their day.
