2016 Arc De Triomphe Betting Tips PT 2

The main local favourite for the big victory in the Arc De Triomphe is the undefeated La Cressoniere – who looks like she is going to be the big hope for the fillies here this year and the mere prospect that the second favourite for the Arc is a 3yo filly shows just how much presence these horses have in the big races these days.

Without a loss over an eight race stretch of action she has strung together a great series of victories – punctuated by a solid score in the Group 1 Prix De Diane. Sent off at an 11/4 price tag on the day, her victory saw her sit towards the back of the pack and unleash a furious drive to conquer this Group 1 field with aplum.

The third favourite for the Arc is a Japanese shipper who enters after taking a victory at Chantilly just a week ago in the Group 2 Qatar Prix Niel. Despite being sent off at a 4/9 margin as a big favourite, the Deep Impact colt was left with quite a bit to do – only actually conquering his foes by a slim neck margin and the fact tha he won “a shade cosily” is noted in his comment line for the race.

Prior to that, he conquered the Tokyo Yushun and looked like he left it late again there as well. Sent off as the 3/1 second choice in a massive field of 18 contenders, he was still able to get up and nail Satono Diamond on the line to win by a nose.

Found appears to be an absolute lock to finish second in this race once again since the four-year-old Galileo filly has rattled off five second place finishes in a row – all of which came at the Group 1 level against the absolute best in their respective divisions. The winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Turf at Keeneland over big favourite (and Arc winner) Golden Horn, Found could be set to turn it all around at this time and make a big statement when it matters most.

The fact that Found is continuing to float at around a margin of about 8/1 or 9/1 ante post against such a talented field shows that there is plenty of support out there for her and that she could be set to make a big impression here and break tha duck of second place finishes. It has been a relatively long season for the four-year-old but she had a long campaign in 2015 as well and looked her best towards the end of the season.

There is plenty of reason to be excited about Found.
