2016/17 English Premier League Betting Tips PT 2

Manchester United are available at a price of around 7/2 right now with a number of top bookmakers and a few of them even go as high as a 4/1 margin for United to win the league. They are ranking as the clear second choice, however, and this shows how much the bookmakers and the football media seem to have faith in Jose Mourinho's ability to bring some confidence and swagger back to Manchester United.

The fact that he has already wrapped up a number of signings – including grabbing superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain – shows that he is already getting things accomplished. This is a sharp contrast to the ongoing transfer sagas that plagued the brief reign of David Moyes and resulted in embarrassments like United overpaying for Fellaini at the zero hour on transfer day.

Only Paul Pogba, set for a potential world record fee, remains the question mark for Manchester United and the fact remains that Mourinho has his sights set on the former United player and what a story it would be to bring him back to the Premier League from his current club Juventus.

Arsenal are trading as the third choice to win the English Premier League and punters will find them available as high as a 6/1 listing at the time of this writing with several books going just slightly shorter at an 11/2 margin. One has to wonder whether this will be Arsene Wenger's chance to make an impression at Arsenal and their fans will have significant expectations this year.

Chelsea will be expected to produce much better results than last season – which saw them languishing in mid-table for the bulk of the season. The bookmakers have them just a shade behind Arsenal with a price of around 13/2 right now and looking like they could make an impression if they can hold onto certain players and bring a few new faces in as well.

Liverpool, perpetually declaring that this year will be “their year” can be backed at a price of about 9/1 to win the English Premier League. Tottenham trade at a nearly identifcal price with a few books listing them as short as 7/1 for the League after a good performance last year, though most have them floated around a 9/1 margin.

Leicester City can be backed anywhere from 20/1 all the way up to 30/1 to pull off an improbable league double. They are reinforcing their side and the fact remains that they know how to get the job done.
