2017 Supreme Novices Hurdle PT 4

Right now, Charli Parcs is also in possession of an entry to the JCB Triumph Hurdle and that might wind up being a much more straightforward option for him since there is less class in the race year after year.

Another one to keep your eye on is the intriguing Defi Du Seuil who has rattled off five victories on the bounce last year and will be heading into the festival season with a few months off the track. He was last seen at Chepstow back on December 27 when he captured the Future Champions Finale Juvenile Hurdle when sent off as the 4/5 favourite.

He romped home with an impressive 13 lengths between him and his nearest competitor Evening Hush. Prior to that he took the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham which boasts the distinction of being a Grade 2 event.

While he is a 16/1 shout for the Supreme Novices he remains the distinct fancy for the JCB and goes into the contest with a 4/1 ante post price to secure the big victory in the JCB. This is a contender to avoid for the Supreme unless we see some of the two or three leading fancies for the race somehow withdrawing.

Another one to keep your eye on who could be full of mystery and will likely boast a rather appealing payout is the lightly-raced Any Second Now who races in the McManus colours for Tim Walsh. He comes into the contest with a victory at Punchestown in the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle when he was able to get the better of a few of the leading juvenile hurdlers on the circuit over in Ireland.

Prior to that he scored at a 66/1 margin over a field of 28 in a maiden effort at Navan. Right now the bookmakers have him floating anywhere between a 10/1 margin all the way up to a 20/1 price tag with several bookmakers. He also has an entry right now for the Neptune Novices but the bookmakers aren't really listing a plausible price.
