2018 Breeders’ Cup Classic Betting Update PT 1

Now that we are only a couple of weeks away from the kickoff of the de-facto World Championships of horse racing at Churchill Downs, we have some very interesting odds movement as a number of horses have dropped out of the penultimate race of this year's Breeders Cup championships.

There are a lot of different high quality horses remaining in the mix right now but the bookmakers are having a tough time keeping track of which horses are still in training, or which horses have retired all together.

There are more than a few who are opting to skip the classic and the rest of the year and already begin looking towards a 2019 campaign.

With Keeneland and Santa Anita in full swing already we have plenty of big races still the one full day to fill out a lot of the undercard races for the Breeders Cup, but the fact remains that there is still plenty of decisions to be made about which horses will target which races.

Accelerate remains as the outright favorite to win the 2018 Breeders Cup Classic and a lot of bookmakers are pricing him as the distinct favorite now that his chief rival, three-year-old Good Magic, has been retired from racing and is set to begin a career at stud.

There are still a couple of bookmakers who have Good Magic remaining in the market and this is factored into Accelerates price to win the 2018 Breeders Cup Classic.
