2019 US Open Betting Preview PT 2

Nadal definitely has the ability to get a result here but he’s had issues in quarter final contests over the past while and will want to open with a steady but not necessarily incredible approach to his first few matches.

Workmanlike victories in the early contests are what Nadal needs at this stage in the game.

Roger Federer is trading around a 6/1 or 7/1 margin at this point, depending on whom you’re wagering with and you can get a solid listing on him with an each-way bet that would pay out ½ if he was to make the final. There aren’t many people out there who know their tennis who would be shocked to see another Roger Federer vs Novak Djokovic final again this time around.

The odds then take a big jump to Alexander Zverev and he is trading at a price of around 16/1 or 20/1 at a few bookmakers. His odds will probably drop as people look for an outside contender over the next couple of days prior to the contest and he may be popular as a lucrative outside option for an each-way wager.

Daniil Medvedev trades at a solid price as high as 25/1 for the contenders who are outside of that leading group of top choices.

Other notables include the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas at anywhere between 25/1 to 33/1 while Dominic Thiem is trading at 33/1. Nick Kyrgios is always an interesting contender to have in the tournament and you’ll find him priced around a 40/1 margin to win the US Open.
