Prior to the first Ashes Test, bookmakers William Hill were offering 8/1 that Kevin Pietersen would score a century and after an excellent performance Hills offer just 9/4 that he will score a ton in either innings in the 2nd Test. Australia have been shortened from 2/5 to 1/8 to win the Ashes series with England lengthened to 8/1 from 3/1. Hills Series correct score betting favourite is an Australian 4-0 victory offered at 9/2 with a 5-0 whitewash priced at 7/1. The 2nd Test betting has seen brisk trade with good sums of money being laid on the 4/6 for an Australian victory with very little support for the 4/1 offered for an England victory.
"After their emphatic victory in the 1st Test, it is not that surprising that Australia are being so well backed to win the next Test and people are steering clear of the 4/1 offered on England. The only Englishman to have attracted any support is Kevin Pietersen who is now 9/4 to score a century in the 2nd Test", said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
