Arsenal cut to win FA Cup

Arsenal are 3/1, from 8/1, to win the FA Cup, according to Ladbrokes, following their impressive 3-1 win against Liverpool.

Victory for the North London club was a £10,000 loser for the Harrow-based firm.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: "We were keen to avoid a win for the holders. Arsenal's victory wasn't great but it could have been so much worse if Benitez's boys had delivered.

"And Rosicky as first goal scorer just about covered our liability on Wenger's men. -It finished all square between layers and punters."

Chelsea are the 5/2 favourites to win the competition.

And the bookies were forced to slash the price of an all premiership FA Cup final yesterday (Saturday) in the face of a punter onslaught.

The firm had gone up with an initial quote of 4/6. But the price quickly fell away to 1/7 as backers took any price Friday evening and into Saturday morning.
