Arsenal vs Liverpool

Following another tame display in front of goal against Everton in the 1-0 defeat at Goodison two weeks ago Arsenal fans are scratching their heads and wondering where the next goal is coming.

The long term injuries suffered by Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie have seriously impacted on Arsenal's performances this season and the four-match ban on Emmanuel Adebayor has only exacerbated the situation. The latter's return to the side against Liverpool could be a pivotal moment in the Gunners' season as they attempt to cling on to a Champions League place.

The away games against Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs will have a big say on their points tally and Adebayor will have to put his Carling Cup nightmare and death threats behind him and ensure that the Gunners' fans have something to cheer about at the end of a "Season Mirabilis".
