Arsenal have been pushed out to as big as 9/2 to win the Premier League with Canbet after Arsene Wenger's side failed to beat Middlesbrough at the Emirates at the weekend.

Former Gunner Jeremie Aliadiere scored in the 25th minute to put the cat amongst the pigeons in North London, but an 86th minute equaliser by Kolo Toure now sees Arsenal trail Manchester United, who beat Derby 1-0, on points difference at the top of the table.

Arsenal's draw extended their winless streak to four games in the Premiership and Arsenal fans will be alarmed at their skipper's comments after the 1-1 stalemate.

"I'll tell you why there was a difference between the win in Milan and our next game. It was in the head," Gallas was quoted as saying in The Sun.

"In fact what we needed was an even higher level than we had in Milan. We all have to understand that.

"And we have to understand it quickly because time is running out for us this season."
Chelsea, who beat Sunderland 1-0, are priced shorter at 3/1 despite being three points behind, but Avram Grant's Londoners have a game in hand.

Sunderland can take comfort despite their defeat at the Stadium of Light because Emile Heskey's 34th minute strike at the JJB Stadium ensured that Wigan beat Bolton, which sees Roy Keane's side remain two points above the relegation zone. Canbet make them a 7/2 chance to return to the Championship.

The relegation battle was not completely stale however, as Brian McBride ensured that Fulham stayed in the hunt for a Premiership place by scoring the only goal at Craven Cottage that beat Everton.  Canbet now make Fulham 1/3 to cling on to their top-flight status with Bolton 5/4 and Birmingham 3/1.

The scap for points continues this evening when Newcastle  travel to St Andrews to take on Birmingham. Newcastle are 7/2 to go down but as far as tonight's game is concerned, Birmingham are 5/4 favourites with Kevin Keegan's side as big as 12/5 to register their first triumph under the former England manager. The draw is 9/4.
