Arsenal's match against United a title showdown?

Arsenal's young guns survived one test to their Premier League title credentials on Sunday by holding Liverpool to a draw at Anfield and this weekend they face champions Manchester United in a game that William Hill believe will have a large bearing on the destination of this year's championship.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side, who have scored four or more goals in each of their last four games, travel to London this Saturday to take on the unbeaten Gunners and Arsene Wenger's side are 9/2 to beat Manchester United this weekend and then go on to win the Premier League title with William Hill who make United 4/1 to win both the match and the title.

"Victory in this weekend's showdown will be a moral victory as well as giving the winners a distinct advantage in the title race," said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill are also offering 13/8 that whichever side wins this weekend's showdown will ultimately go on to lift the Premier League title trophy - and 4/9 that they will fail to do so.

Arsenal are showing no signs of letting up and they are currently 6/1 to remain unbeaten until Christmas Day in the 11 scheduled matches they have until December 25. William Hill have opened a book on the next side to beat them and Manchester United are 2/1 to beat them while Tottenham who they play on December 22nd at the Emirates Stadium are 20/1 to be the team to end their winning run if it is still in tact.

With the premier League big guns scoring for fun, William Hill have also opened up the betting on which of the big four will score the most goals this season and make Manchester United the 6/4 favourties with Arsenal 2/1, Liverpool and Chelsea both at 4/1.
