Nedbank Golf Challenge
November 28, 2006 - Ian Ross
Nedbank Golf Challenge - It was shaping up to be a disappointing season for Padraig Harrington, out of the top 30 and didn't look like being the bridesmaid, let alone the bride.
Suddenly we thought he was finally going to pick up a big one at Winged Foot, just three holes to play and tied for the lead. He blew it and finished 5th.
Missed cuts at the Open and PGA championships followed.
Then it all changed, Pod quickly picked up two wins, the European Order of Merit and leapt up to 8th in the world. The way he beat Tiger Woods in the playoff in the Dunlop Phoenix indicates he could be about to make that Major step, at last!
