Angelina Jolie is a major contender to be the new Bond girl, if the odds at Paddy Power are to believed. The Irish bookmaker have installed Jolie as their 10/11 favourite to be named in the role.

It has been reported that producers are keen to sign her up to play Vesper Lynd, a Russian double agent who beds Bond in the upcoming movie "Casino Royale". 

Daniel Craig was confirmed as the new 007 a couple of weeks ago. The new James Bond has starred alongside Jolie before in "Tomb Raider".

 Those hoping for markets on the next Q and Miss Moneypenny will be left disappointed as neither of these characters are to appear in "Casino Royale", due for release at some point in 2006.
