Cheltenham 2007: Paddy Power's Outstanding Lady Betting
February 28, 2007 - Ian Ross

With the shortlist announced for Cheltenham's "Outstanding Contribution Made By A Lady To Jump Racing" award bookie Paddy Power has today issued betting on the magnificent seven in the running.
The leading ladies are headed in the betting by Dinah Nicholson, at just 4/6, with founder of the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre Carrie Humble also in the running at 5/2. Following with just a short head between them are Heather Atkinson and Henrietta Knight at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively whilst Nina Carberry, who's time will surely come, is rated a 20/1 outsider for the inaugural award.
Paddy Power, spokesman for the bookie, said: "Setting the odds on such a fine list of racing contributors proved no easy task but in the early running we have Dinah as our strong favourite for all the different racing hats she wears across the breeding, training and charity spheres. Picking a winner could prove harder for the judges than finding the winner of the 1000 Guineas so it will be interesting to see if punters agree with them."
