The Six Nations Championship (or the "RBS 6 Nations") is an annual international rugby union competition held between six European sides; England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales.  France are the current defending champions having won the competition in 2006 and 2007.

In the Six Nations a "Gand Slam" refers to where one team beats all their opponents during one year's competition. The "Triple Crown" which is currently held by Ireland, is where either of the home nations beats the other three. The "Calcutta Cup" is awarded to the winner of the England vs Scotland game.  The "Millennium Trophy" is awared to the winner of the England vs Wales game and the "Giuseppe Garibaldi Trophy" is awarded to the winner of the match between  France v. Italy.

France's Six Nations clash with England in the Stade de France will divide the rugby fraternity. Is it better to win ugly, or lose trying to plan for the future?
