Uefa Cup

The Uefa Cup is seen as the poorer relation to the Champions League but given the dominance of certain clubs, is often the only way into Europe for the majority of sides. In fact the Uefa Cup can be won each year by a side that has started off playing in the Chapions League. If that side then finished third in the group stages of their Champions League campaign then they will drop into the Uefa Cup and into the post-Xmas Uefa Cup knockout stages.

In 2008 the Uefa Cup Final will take place on 14 May at the City of Manchester Stadium and will be watched in over 200 countries. Currently the Premier League is represented by Bolton Wanderers, Everton and Tottenham while Aberdeen are flying the flag for the SPL.
