AFC Conference Championship Winner Odds

The AFC play-off picture is now complete with New York and Denver claiming the final two available wild-card spots. However, a word should go to Buffalo Bills who did fantastically well to recover from losing the first four in 2004 to at one stage during week 17 looking good to oust the Jets from the postseason picture.

Favourites to win this ultimately competitive conference are Pittsburgh, who showed their roster depth with a mostly reserve team defeating the highflying Bills. Number three seed is Indianapolis and they face a rematch of their week 17 meeting and wild-card game a year ago against Denver. The game will be the two teams fourth meeting in just over a year. Although the Colts are the clear favourites with the handicappers making them a double digit favourite, the Broncos are a team that if playing to their potential could prove troublesome.

Taking the fourth seed is San Diego and they have a rematch of their week 2 meeting against New York Jets, a game they infact lost by six points in a high scoring encounter, as predicted by our NFL betting expert. The Chargers who have surprised everyone this season can be backed at 10/1, while the Jets are on offer at 20/1.

Pittsburgh will play the winner of the Chargers/Jets, while New England play the winner of the Colts/Broncos. Interestingly Sporting Odds make the AFC Conference a clear favourite to win Super Bowl.
