ARSENAL VS CHELSEA LONDON DERBY BETTING TIPS

The bookmakers don't see anything between the two teams as Blue Square prices Chelsea and Arsenal at 17/10 for the outright victory with a draw paying in the region of 11/5. The only real difference you'll notice in prices are in the correct score market, with Arsenal priced just a percent or two lower than Chelsea. Arsenal may be considered slim favourites by the bookmakers, but I think this match is Chelsea's to win. 

Arsenal will struggle against Chelsea's ability to retain the ball. I also think their cadre of box to box midfielders like Essien could just prove to be too good on the day. Arsenal are very much in this one though and I have a premonition that this is going to be a fixture defined by late drama. A 2-1 margin in each direction is paying out at 9/1 while a 1-0 victory is priced at 7/1 for Arsenal and 15/2 for the Blues. 

Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka are in a rich vein of form and they will be looking to exploit any weaknesses they find in the Arsenal defense.  Drogba is listed at 6/4 to score anytime with Anelka trading at 13/8. Whoever said these two guys couldn't play at the same time? As always, keep your eyes on Frank Lampard at 12/5 anytime. 

Unsurprisingly, the bookmakers look to be turning to Andre Arshavin to score for Arsenal and he's well-priced at 9/4. Eduardo trades at 2/1 to score anytime, 

I think Chelsea are well-priced as the slim favourites here. It would be good news for Manchester United fans if Arsenal took all three points from Chelsea or even held on for the draw. I think Chelsea's defence could prove the difference here and if they show up deliver a performance, I think they'll be a tough side to beat.
