Blake Fielder-Civil and Amy Winehouse Lead The Race To Be The First Celebrity To Be Busted For Drugs In 2009

Same goes for 2009 and UK Bookmakers Paddy Power have come out with a Celebrity Special market on which celeb would be the first one to be arrested by the police for possession of illegal drugs.

Topping the list are English singer-songwriter, Amy Winehouse at 3/1 and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil at 7/4. Both of them have been in the news over the past couple of years in relation to drugs and Fielder-Civil has even been quoted as saying that he has to let her go in order to save her life.
Blake Fielder-Civil was quoted in a British tabloid as saying he introduced crack cocaine and heroin to Winehouse. His attorney had also testified in court that for over half his life Blake Fielder-Civil has had a "intimate relationship with drug addiction" including heroin and cocaine as well as a history of self-harm and suicide attempts
Winehouse has been through rehab and was hospitalized in 2007 for a reported overdose of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine and alcohol.
Both were in the news again in 2008 and this has prompted Paddy Power to offer top odds on them.
The next in the list is Pete Doherty who is well known for his romance with super model Kate Moss and his drug abuse. He has a long history of drugs and was last jailed in April 2008 for 14 weeks for breaching a probation order.
In September 2008 Andy Boyd, Doherty's manager, claimed in an interview with the Daily Mail that Doherty did not get off heroin. Boyd stated: "The only time I can be sure he's not doing heroin or crack is when he's in rehab or prison or asleep."
Pete Doherty can be backed at 6/1 to be the bad boy again in 2009.
Legendary singer George Michael has had a brush with law for drugs in the past and can be backed at 8/1 to do it again.
On 19 September 2008, Michael was arrested in a public toilet in the Hampstead Heath area of London for possession of Class A and C drugs. He was taken to the police station and cautioned for controlled substance possession.
Former Atomic Kitten singer, Kerry Katona who has had a topsy turvy life and was declared bankrupt at the High Court in London in August 2008 is listed at 8/1 with Paddy Power.
Prince Harry also makes this illustrious list and can be backed at 33/1 as the long shot.
