Brazil vs Holland World Cup Betting Preview 2

The draw can be backed at 11/4 and that’s not a bad wager here when you consider how many matches have gone to extra time with a 0-0 scoreline so far. It has happened constantly throughout this tournament and it has led to plenty of exciting finishes - but the occasional dull 90 minutes.

Brazil also boast an enticing price of 10/1 to win the match in extra time while they are 14/1 to win on penalties. The Dutch side are 14/1 to win via either method. If you fancy Brazil to run away with this one you can lock in a 5/2 listing on them on a (-1.0) handicap with Holland getting the extra point paying out at a solid 3/4 which may not offer the value you want from their outright wager but still gives you a little extra insurance which is particularly helpful if you are anticipating a very tight match with little between the two sides.

It’s also not entirely surprising that Robin Van Persie, who has gone a bit quiet as of late in front of goal, is trading as the betting favourite to score in the match. The bookmakers have him priced at an 8/5 listing to score anytime in the match and he is able to be backed at an 11/2 listing first or last.

Fred is just behind him with many Brazilians hoping that he will finally come good and produce a halfway decent performance at some point in the tournament. He is trading at 7/4 anytime and 6/1 to grab the first or last goal of the match.

Arjen Robben has easily been one of the most controversial figures of this World Cup but, aside from his theatrics, he has produced some excellent performances and would have been eligible for player of the tournament status had his side progressed to the Final. He is 15/8 to score a goal at any point in the fixture while his odds of 13/2 look enticing to either open or close the scoring.

With little left to play for in the match other than pride, we might see a few flashpoints - particularly if Brazil start getting physical like they have shown when they struggle to break a side down. A penalty at any point in the match rewards at 5/2 while a red card to be shown will pay out at a solid 3/1.
