Cheltenham Day One Betting Preview PT 2

The Grade 3 Ultima Handicap Chase is next up and this one looks a bit of a lottery so it’s a chance to take a few stabs at the handicap. Out Sam has rounded into some decent form lately having taken his last two races - one of which by an astonishing 80 length margin but it came against a small field with only two other competitors. It's worth remembering that our partner William Hill will not be beaten on price at Cheltenham!

Double Ross could be an interesting outsider and though he hasn’t been in good form he could be an interesting place bet and has had the ability to get the job done in similar races if you go back through his form line.

Annie Power steps up to take on the boys in the Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy  and she has every chance to make a big impression here and she has won her attempt earlier this season and will be looking for her first winning trip to Cheltenham since she won a Class 2 hurdle on New Years day of 2014.

The Mares Hurdle this year is going to be focused primarily on the outstanding looking Vroum Vroum Mag who will be hovering around even money at the start of the day but who knows what might happen to her price as people begin chasing big losses or pushing victories from the higher profile races run earlier in the day.

The last two races of the day appear to be some tricky handicaps but the Amateur Riders Chase sees Minella Rocco looming as a very interesting favourite while Ballychorus is getting some attention as well in addition to Southfield Royale. The Novices Handicap Chase sees Aloomomo coming in as a lukewarm favourite
