Cheltenham Gold Cup 2007: Beef or Salmon fav to perform best of the Irish

Paddy Power have released betting on which of the remaining four Irish Gold Cup hopefuls will perform best in the Gold Cup on Friday week.

There is nothing between the top three in the market with Beef or Salmon just favourite at 6/4 ahead of last year's third, Forget the Past, at 7/4 and the progressive winner of the Troytown and Paddy Power Chases, Cane Brake, at 15/8. Kill Devil Hill, who runs in War of Attrition's victorious colours, is the rank outsider of the four at 16/1.

The paddy power odds compilers reported, "The past few days have been a real blow for patriotic punters and now many feel we're only chasing place money in the Gold Cup.
