English Premier League Betting Tips Part 1

It certainly lived up its billing as one of the most exciting leagues in any sport, anywhere. The opening weekend of the English Premier League left much to be discussed and, while you really don’t want to jump to conclusions after just a single match under one’s respective belt, it looks as though David Moyes will be breathing a little easier after his Manchester United side produced a credible performance against Swansea to emerge as the 4-1 victors.

Beating out Swansea at home can be tricky for many top sides and we saw plenty of them slip up last year on their Welsh sojourn. However, Robin Van Persie proved once again why he is the most complete forward of this era with two spectacularly contrasting goals that showed exactly why he is one of the deals of the century if a player like Gareth Bale can be priced at around 80 million quid.

Even Danny Welbeck got in on the action to double his tally of league goals from last year when he bundled home a pair of strikes. One of which as the simplest of tap-ins but the other was a well-taken effort that showed just how much confidence the young Englishman has as he chipped the Swansea keeper to put the scoreline to four goals on the day.

Chelsea then used their opportunity against Hull on Sunday to show exactly why the second coming of Mourinho is going to see the Blues at their most competitive. They produced a workmanlike performance where they more or less dominated their opposition and strode home as the comfortable winners.

Arsene Wenger got a nightmare start to the season as his Arsenal side were disposed of at home by a resurgent Aston Villa team who took all of their opportunities and were able to catch Arsenal on the break on a regular basis. There is a lot to like about this edition of the Villains and they will do well to keep their performance going with a team that looks like it really enjoys playing football for the first time in a while.
