English Premier League Betting Update PT 2

It's worth noting that there is a lot of different permutations at the bottom of the league as well and the relegation battle appears fascinating – particularly when you factor in the recent surge from Hull City – who many had considered to be already effectively relegated and in full-on crisis club mode. Nothing could be further from the truth now and they genuinely look to be undergoing a renaissance having beaten Liverpool and held Manchester United to a scoreless draw.

Sunderland are now the odds-on favourites to go down to the Championship at the end of the year – and that's probably about right all things considered. Particularly when you realize that David Moyes is just as clueless as ever with this club. You'll fin the Black Cats priced as short as 2/5 for the relegation drop.

Hull City can be backed at a 4/5 margin to be relegated right now and that's quite a bit longer than the 1/6 price tag you would have found them at a few months ago. Despite their recent run of good form, they do remain odds-on for the drop but the club and the fans certainly seem to be able to believe that they can avoid the drop.

Crystal Palace are priced at about 23/20 to go down to the Championship and that would be a shock result for their owners and the fans who had seen the team facing off against some quality opposition and getting results in recent years. They can be backed as short as even money for the drop while Middlesbrough look to be a candidate for relegation as well with a slim 6/4 price out there for relegation on Wearside. They can be backed at even money with several books to be relegated from the English Premier League as well.

Swansea are still in the reckoning for the drop as well with a few books pricing them at about a 15/8 listing while the defending Champions Leicester City aren't mathematically safe either and are in danger of slipping into the relegation mire with a price of about 5/2 to drop down to the Championship next season.
