Godolphin Saddle Spoilers for Great Voltigeur

In high-profile race meetings like the York Ebor you are usually seeing the blue team turn out some of their most talented charges. Instead, we've got the Group 2 Great Voltigeur seeing two rather cheeky entrants from Godolphin.

Neither of Genius Beast or Hunter's Light is taking any money and they trade at 20/1 and 25/1, respectively 24 hours before post time. Of the two, Hunter's Light is the more promising with a listed score to his credit at Hamilton and then a third place finish in the Bet365 Gordon Stakes to Namibian. Genius Beast has a Group 3 victory to his credit at Sandown but does not look to be progressing with a sixth-place finish looking better than it should in the King Edward VII Stakes to the impressive Nathaniel. He was nearly 20 lengths back at the end of it.

Regardless, both should offer a bit of a challenge, especially on the run-in and Genius Beast will certainly be looking to flash some of that tactical speed.

The betting favourite for this one is the unfortunate Seville, another son of Galileo, who has a string of second-place finishes dotting his card. Still just a maiden winner despite competing at the highest level, he has notched places in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy, the Group 2 Dante Stakes, the Group 1 Irish Derby and the Group 1 Grand Prix du Paris. Nothing to sneeze at, but you have to wonder about a horse that just can't find the line first.

He trades at 11/8 and some will find that a bit too short for a horse running 1/7 lifetime, no matter how good the other races were.

Lightly-raced Al Kazeem jumps up off the handicap circuit and the three-year-old son of Dubawi is looking to make a real statement in his first contest at Group level. He is taking money at a 14/1 price and could emerge as a genuine dark horse just before the off.

Juddmonte saddles a lightly-raced Sea Moon, who has run 211 lifetime having been sent off as the favourite on each occasion. If he can move into his preferred stalking position he could be worth every bit of the 7/2 price he floats at right now.
