Latest English Premier League Betting Tips PT 1

The weekend has come around quickly again after a great slate of mid-week Champions League action. All of the Premier League teams have been effectively eliminated from the Champions League so it’s just the domestic league and the FA Cup still to play for in England right now.

Looking ahead to the action, we have Chelsea continuing to chug along at the top and maintain their decent advantage - a factor assisted heavily by Manchester City’s recent loss of form. It now really looks like Manchester City will be facing off a lot more heavily with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool than they will be tangling with Chelsea.

It really looks to be going from bad to worse at City right now and there are now people calling for the manager’s head - which is rare for a second place team. However, expectations are high and that team is loaded with quality players. There is no reason a top level team should be regressing like that during this crucial point in the season.

City actually open the Saturday card in the early fixture against West Brom - where many will be expecting them to storm back and put in an easy victory. Things may not go that simply though, despite City coming in as the short-priced 1/3 favourites. The Baggies are trading at a full 9/1 margin while the draw sits at 9/2.

Arsenal will be taking on Newcastle up north and they look likely to get the result here as the situation at Newcastle seems to be in a holding pattern at the moment. The side hasn’t really been able to move on since the departure of Alan Pardew - who has really turned things around at Crystal Palace. We are now seeing a caretaker manager installed who is likely to sputter along until next season before getting sacked some time in November.
