LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON MERSEYSIDE DERBY BETTING TIPS

A really solid smattering of odds is available on this fixture if you're betting with Blue Square, and Liverpool are well-priced to take a victory here with a 23/20 listing against the Toffees 12/5. The draw pays out at 9/4 but I expect the bulk of the cash to be going Liverpool's way, despite their form being a bit shaky as of late.
While Liverpool are out of the Champions League and look set to battle it out for 4th place for yet another year, Everton are in considerably worse shape than many expected them to be. Seemingly, the side just hasn't clicked and they've been the definition of patchy, with no real consistency fans are often left wondering which Everton side will show up. The whispers are starting to get a little louder in reference to David Moyes, and while I think that speculation is coming a bit early, you still have to acknowledge that it is being talked about. Not a good sign.
Nobody knows how long Benitez has either and it provides an interesting context to this match with both managers knowing they aren't meeting expectations. An emphatic victory in a hotly-contested local derby would ease the pressure and both men would benefit from that type of scenario.
I think this one could be a bit shaky and a low-scoring affair. I don't think we'll see a scoreline beyond 2-1, and with question marks over top of Fernando Torres, you have to wonder just how many Liverpool will be able to put on the board.
Should Fernando Torres be fit to play, he is listed at 5/4 to score anytime with Steven Gerrard at 13/8. Louis Saha is favoured to score for Eveton and he's listed at 13/8 with teammate Yakubu at 7/4. David Ngog has started finding the net a bit more regularly for the Reds and he is available at 2/1.
Liverpool to win 2-1 pays out at 8/1 and I think thats about right. A 3-2 margin garners a 28/1 payout and that would be a bit more plausible if we get a few penalties. Regardless, I think this is going to be a great match, but maybe not the 5 goal thriller I'd like it to be. Draw at half-time with Liverpool the favourites to win. With Villa and Spurs drawing on Saturday, this is a must-win fixture. I think Liverpool will do just enough.
Also, keep in mind that Blue Square has a very solid enhanced multiple with a three-way victory on Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea listed at 11/1.
