Luis Suarez Favoured For Arsenal Switch Part 2

Wayne Rooney remains favoured to go to Chelsea with Jose Mourinho having already launched an unsuccessful bid for the star England striker. You will find a price of 4/9 on Rooney right now to move to the Blues while a 13/8 price tag floats on him to stay at United.

You would think that a Rooney departure without another key signing (Fabregas, Ronaldo etc) would reflect very poorly on Moyes but it remains to be seen what the other United players think of Rooney, who submitted a written transfer request towards the end of last season.

A move to Arsenal for Rooney, which may be more palatable to Moyes as they aren’t a direct title threat like Chelsea with Mourinho at the helm, would reward at a solid price of 6/1.

Luis Suarez is favoured to complete his move to Arsenal but it still looks a bit lukewarm as Arsenal are 4/6 to secure his services before September 3. You can lock in a 6/4 price on him to remain at Liverpool and the controversy surrounding his status in Britain - his antics have disgusted a number of the more cosmopolitan Arsenal supporters - may see him veer towards a higher-paying gig at Real Madrid.

As a Uruguayan, it makes more business sense for Suarez to be playing in the Spanish league and the ban awaiting him when he returns to the Premier League is also a bit of an offsetting factor in regards to him actually getting signed.

A veritable slew of different clubs remain in the market for Luis Suarez and you will find the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich at 16/1 while PSG are just a step ahead with a decent price of 12/1 to secure his signature. PSG definitely have the money to sign him but it’s going to be interesting to see how Arsenal gets their hand forced.

Most people do not actually think Luis Suarez is worth up to fifty million in sterling, but you do have to wonder just how desperate Arsenal are - especially when it looks like Wayne Rooney is available for nearly half the price of Suarez.
