Manchester United Trimmed to 6/5 for Title

After a sensational victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League this weekend, Manchester United proved to the doubters and the bookmakers that they are not out of the title race yet – even with big-spending Manchester City two points ahead.

With City recording a dull 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers, United faced a much more difficult-looking clash at White Hart Lane but they were able to keep their strong tradition against Spurs alive by pulling off a 3-0 victory.

Wayne Rooney notched the opener before Ashley Young added a pair of well-taken goals.

The latest events in the English Premier League have seen the odds at the top begin to shift around as the title race becomes competitive. You'll find City two points ahead of United and they've been eased to 4/6 from 1/2 for their first Premier League title in a very long time.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men have been taken into 6/5 from 13/8.

With Chelsea having sacked Andre Villas-Boas' it appears as though Chelsea will need some genuinely special in order to fashion themselves a title challenge. The race appears to be on for the third and fourth spots with Spurs at 1/8 for a top 4 finish and Arsenal priced at 4/7.

Chelsea trade at 13/8 to qualify for Champions League football next year while Liverpool trade at 6/1 and Newcastle at a lengthy 14/1.
