MANNY PACQUIAO VS FLOYD MAYWEATHER LATEST ODDS

It’s hardly been 48 hours since Manny Pacquiao recorded his widely-anticipated victory over Miguel Cotto who, it has to be said, hung in there and gave a hell of a performance even when it looked like he didn’t have a chance. 

Now with Pacquiao’s credentials being further enhanced by his record sixth title held his in his sixth weight division, everybody’s eyes are turning to what could very well be the fight of the decade- Pacquiao vs Mayweather. 

Neither camp is denying the fact that this is the fight everybody who follows the sport is looking forward to watching and one of the best parts about it is that it really is such a great fight on paper. The two pugilists have distinctly contrasting styles and nobody has seen two fighters of this quality facing off in the welterweight division for quite some time. 

Needless to say, a number of top bookmakers have already released odds for the fight with a tentative date set for December 1st, 2010. Blue Square lists Floyd Mayweather as a distinct favourite with a price of 8/13. Manny Pacquiao will be coming in as the underdog for the first time since his fight with Oscar De La Hoya- a fight that certainly made me a believer. Pacquiao is trading at Blue Square for a 5/4 price. The draw is priced at 

Over at Ladbrokes, you’ll find the fight scheduled for December 31st 2010 and Pacquiao is listed as a 2.25 longshot against Mayweather’s 1.57. There is a clause on Ladbrokes though that the fight must be fought before December 31st 2010 or all bets will be void. 

The odds are solid over at BetFred, who list Mayweather as a strong favourite at 4/7 while Pacquiao trades at 11/8- an enticing price. They also state that the fight must take place at any point in 2010.
