This week's restrictor plate race at Talladega gives an edge to the likes of Dale Earnhardt Junior, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, as their restrictor plate programs have been far superior over the past two seasons. Junior led off the season with a win in the Daytona 500, however, the last two plate races have been won by the Hendrick horsepower of Jeff Gordon's Dupont Chevrolet. In all three restrictor plate races this season only Junior and Jimmie Johnson have finished in the top 5 in all of them. Junior is again expected to dominate this week, despite a two race losing streak on these types of tracks - he probably would have won back here in April had the race not ended under caution - and he looks the most likely winner. A more attractive bet, however, could come from the Richard Childress racing team, who also have a great restrictor plate program, and whose Jeff Burton represents terrific each way value at the current 40/1.
