Paddy Power Gold Cup and Cheltenham Action on Saturday November 13

We covered a fair portion of the Cheltenham card in our Scoop6 preview so we'll be giving a bit more space to the other races in this piece.

The 12:50 opener looks a fascinating juvenile hurdles contest for 3 year-olds and serves as a prep for the JCB Triumph Hurdle. Nicky Henderson ships over hotshot Titan De Sarti who has a pair of scores at Durtal and Lisieux from last Spring.

He looks to be taking the bulk of the early money but we like ARCHITRAVE coming out of Tim Vaughan's yard and this top-weighted chestnut will be seeking his fourth score on the bounce and all three of those wins have been very classy victories over the distance. He should take to the Cheltenham surface well and will be a major threat if given a clean trip. At the time of this writing he boasts an 8.0 exchange price.

We've got novices lining up in the 1:20 at Cheltenham and it's very tough to bet against the favourite here with Grade 1 winner WAYWARD PRINCE looking to maintain some recent momentum. He is bet down fairly low and hovers around 3.0 on the exchanges but that's no disincentive as he should relish class 2 company. He demonstrated the ability to recover well from a mistake and still pick up the victory so the added versatility makes up for the lower price. Strong play.

We've got TRICKY TRICKSTER in the Grade 3 1:55 Morson Group Handicap Chase with Character BUilding and Ballyfitz as potential spoilers. The Paul Nicholls' charge trades at 15.5.

We are covering POQUELIN on the each-way at 19.5 in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at 2:35 as there isn't much reason to back Long Run at the price he's trading at now.

SUPERCEDE is the pick in the 3:10 listed race based on his solid recent showings and just getting headed in his last outing. He's priced at around 9.0 on the exchanges.

CRYSTAL ROCK gets the nod in the 3:40 at Cheltenham, which also makes up the final leg of the Scoop6 card. You'll find the five year-old Nicky Henderson jumper at a solid 14.5 for the victory.
