STOKE CITY ODDS DROPPING AS NEW TRANSFER DEADLINE SIGNINGS ANNOUNCED

One of the best ways to track how well a team has done after their transfer deadline signings is to track their odds on the live betting exchange at Betfair. Any movement at all can be a firm indication of just how well those teams are expected to do based on their recent reinforcements.
In my opinion, one of the most interesting selections is going to be Stoke City, and they've purchased a cadre of last-minute signings on English Premier League transfer deadline day.
Jermaine Pennant, Marc Wilson and Eidur Gudjohnsen have signed up for the Potters and these are three very solid pieces of business for Tony Pulis' side. I can assure you that Stoke City didn't sign Rafael Van Der Vaart though- that much is for sure.
With Stoke's new signings breathing a bit of new life into their already solid Premier League campaign, you can take advantage of some very solid odds for Stoke to outperform expectations this season.
Stoke City's odds to finish in the top ten of the English Premier League are priced at about 3.85 on Betfair and that looks a tidy price to me. I don't see them challenging for a European spot without a few other top teams really making a hash of things.
If you think that Stoke City are going to put in a seriously excellent shift this year and finish in the top six, you can lock in a tasty 21.0 price tag. That's actually not bad odds as there is usually one mid-table side that steps it up and begins flirting with a Europa League or even Champions League spot. This used to be David Moyes' Everton side, but we'll have to see how they perform this year.
How's this for a sharp bet- Stoke City to beat out all the other midlands clubs at a 12.0 price? Aston Villa are odds-on to win that market with a 1.85 price while Birmingham and Wolves are hovering around 5.0 and 5.5. West Brom are at 10.5 but SToke at 12.0 looks a snip to me. I think all of those sides are beatable and that's a ridiculously short price on West Brom.
