In case you didn't realise, England are in action this weekend in arguably one of the least relevant International friendly matches ever. Hardly any of the established English players have made the trip to America, leaving a rather odd squad to take on the USA at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Perhaps the most suprising inclusion is that of Kieron Richardson, who has gone from a Manchester United reserve at the start of the season to England international. Sol Campbell will captain the team, with Real Madrid duo David Beckham and Michael Owen set to join the squad ahead of the second game against Colombia on Tuesday.

It is not just the tourists who have an unfamiliar feel, but also the hosts who will be without a host of established players.

Claudio Reyna is rested, while injuries and club commitments mean DaMarcus Beasley, Eddie Lewis, Pablo Mastroeni and Oguchi Onyewu also miss out.Eddie Johnson, who has scored eight times in his first eight Internationals, is doubtful.

It makes trying to pick out a bet for the match very tricky. With such an unfamiliar England team, there was a temptation to side with USA. However, the loss of so many players for the Americans has put paid to that idea.

What may be worth a small investment, is a goalless game. With both sides fielding weakened teams with little preparation time to gel, there isn't much prospect of a free flowing game full of goals.
