2015 Women’s Wimbledon Betting Preview PT 2

Kvitova herself is in a decent position but the punters seem reluctant to back her into shorter prices at this stage. As with every major tournament, we will see her outright price drop each time she progresses through a round and she will only start taking on really tough opposition in the quarter finals.

The 7/2 will not rise at any point so if you’re going to back the second favourite here and go for Kvitova to beat out the opposition as the tournament wears on into the hot days of summer.

There are plenty of other really competent challengers in the Women’s Singles Tournament though and you can certainly back them and ensure decent value on the each-way. This division is deeper than the men’s in terms of having more players with a genuine chance to win. There are some decent prices out there too just on a contender to make the final.

Viktoria Azarenka can be backed at a very solid 12/1 price tag, which looks good as an each-way bet since you’ll be getting half the price if she makes it to the final - which is quite plausible. Azarenka has shown the ability to do well in tournaments like these and she could be a force to be reckoned with as things progress.

Simona Halep trades at a 16/1 margin right now while a pair of players, Safarova and Lisicki, are both trading at 20/1 listings. A few othe notables are in the mix as well with Caroline Wozniacki trading at 33/1 - a far cry from the short prices we saw her listed at during previous Wimbledon tournaments.

Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard is due for a breakthrough sometime soon and while she likely won’t make the final here she could progress further into the tournament than many others might expect. Bouchard is a 66/1 shot, trading alongside Venus Williams at the time of this writing.
