There are a number of very interesting fancies out there and more than a few of them have a genuine chance. With the dawn of the flat season nearly upon us with the William Hill Lincoln set to run this weekend, everybody is already bracing themselves for the launch of the English Classics season when the 2000 Guineas finally gets underway at Newmarket.

As it currently stands, the bookmakers have Australia priced down as low as 2/1 for Guineas glory with a talented line-up of other contenders challenging for his crown as the stand-out 3yo of this season.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained son of Galileo out of famous mare Ouija Board launched to prominence when he captured a Group 3 at Leopardstown back in September of last year. Since then he has come on so nicely that he made a real impression to the racing public when seen working in the mornings recently.
That buzz has seen Australia down to his incredibly short price - made all the more impressive by the fact that he has not actually won a Group 1 or any of the notable year-end prep races for 2yos.
The second place contender in the ante post market is also an interesting lightly-raced sort who won a more obscure Group 3 contest. Kingman sits in second place with a 4/1 price tag right now with most major bookmakers. You’ll note from his comment line on that race that he still looked like he needed a lot of seasoning but had a significant amount of talent.
The greenness was notable early, but with so much time between now and then you can expect him to be all business once he gets on the track. The talented son of Invincible Spirit looms large as one of the main feathers in Juddmonte’s cap for the year.
