2011 Fighting Fifth Hurdle Preview Part 2

The Nicholls yard has another ready to go in this one and the talented four-year-old Brampour ticks all the boxes as a potential breakout with an undefeated 2/2 record so far this season. Regally bred by Haras De Son Altesse L'Aga Khan, he captured the Grade 3 Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham after progressing off a listed score on debut at Ascot. Big things are expected of this talented young hurdler and Nicholls is just the pair of hands to shape his carer as he progresses further. He has scores on the flat but looks better over hurdles with plenty of stamina and guile for the run-in.

He's still available as high as 6/1.
Bygones of Brid looks to be getting a graded campaign from his connections this season and it's obvious that they're looking to make something of this talented bay eight-year-old. The 25/1 price floating on him is indicative of how much of an outside shot he really is but he still could get up for a slice with the right type of ride.
Five-year-old Stormy Weather is an interesting variable here as his last victory was over the surface at Newcastle. He's not won much over that year but he's at least found the line against lesser company. Victor Chandler has him at 100/1 with some listing him as low as 40/1.
There are a number of other big contests unfolding on the day but expect this one to get some sharp wagers and it would not be surprising to see Binocular go off at even money or greater as there is certainly plenty of talent on display for this contest.
