The five-year-old son of King's Best is by a Halling mare and should relish this distance while springing forward of the two-month freshening.

Saeed Bin Surooor's Quick Wit is amongst the highest rated contenders in this one and he comes into the race in plenty of form, though he must navigate a tricky weight assignment of 9-12. He started his season in Meydan and has only been out seven times in 2012. He captured 1 of 3 efforts in Dubai and then emerged at York with a disappointing run in a handicap. He then mustered a second place finish at Newmarket with Mickael Barzalona in the irons before finally getting up at Doncaster to score with William Buick providing the steer. He is part of a tough group who are all trading at or around 25/1 but he could really do something special as he's shown the ability to handle weight in the past.
Gdolphin also saddle Start Right, a five-year-old gelding by Footstepsinthesand out of a Sadler's Wells mare. He hasn't won since Goodwood in 2010 but could factor for place claims. He's priced at 33/1. Man of Action, a five-year-old gelding by Elusive Quality out of a Dixieland Band mare, trades at 25/1 and will attract some attention based on a near-miss at Newmarket back in mid-August.
The fourth Godolphin entry in the mix at this point is Terdaad, who can be backed ante post at 33/1 and has a much more positive-looking record and delivers some value though his rating is a bit on the lower side.
Another Footstepsinthesand gelding that you may want to take a longer look at is Jack's Revenge, who lines up for George Baker and has been tangling with some lower-quality fields but has been running lights out in many of them. He's attracted quality pilots in the past like Ryan More, Richard Hughes, Kieren Fallon and Andrew Tinkler. He's been looking good since switching over to the turf and simply looks like one who knows how to find the line.
He continues to move forward from a ratings perspective and is worth backing as he will likely be ignored on the day.
Oxford Charley is a Leon Drop Kid colt out of a Cormorant Mare who looks to be coming into form though he hasn't found the line first in quite a while. He won his maiden at Salisbury last year and is winless since. However, he's been campaigned three times in the past month and a fourth effort this quickly would show that his connections are especially bullish about his ability to move forward.
He only missed by 1/4 of a length last time and they may see him poised to take a big step forward – why they're opting for the more expensive race. Look for him to be competitive at around 40/1 or even 50/1.
