As always, this betting event will attract a significant amount of volume from all four corners of the globe and there is a lot of money to be made if you can get in early and take advantage of some of the ante post odds, while also keeping a portion of your bankroll saved up for those late minute swings in the wagering.

There is always a dramatic difference between backing European horses with European books or American horses in the pari-mutuel pools. Ensuring you’ve got the right picks and selections is always job number one, but the next most important thing is ensuring that you’re getting value for money with every single wager.

A lot of different bookmakers have some solid specials and offers up for grabs on the Breeders’ Cup events and you can take advantage of many of them by opening up different accounts and funding them for the exclusive purpose of just betting Breeders’ Cup wagers. There are a lot of money back specials and even enhanced multiples - in addition to wagers like match betting and betting without the favourite that you usually can’t get in traditional American wagering.

As usual, the Breeders’ Cup Marathon kicks off the two-day event on Friday afternoon at around 12:30 pm local time. It will be airing well into the evening in the UK and Europe but that adds to the ambiance a bit, doesn’t it?

In the opening race, you’re always forced to deal with several horses that don’t really compete at that distance as 1m6f is not a popular distance in America - even more so with dirt horses. Many are outside of their comfort zones and either haven’t raced at this distance on dirt or likely never will again.
