2013 Breeders Cup Classic Odds Part 3

He saw his price drop from a clear 8/1 down to a 12/1 margin after a rather inauspicious performance at Belmont Park. While he is firmly in the mix here price-wise it will be interesting to see if they consider a different race for him.

Declaration of War is likely to ship over for this one from England and he would be a much better wager on-track on the day of the race than in a European ante post book. He trades at 12/1 and is unraced on dirt though he does boast a quality dirt pedigree and could be a real wildcard. 20/1 would be a bit more reasonable in the eyes of many punters.

Will Take Charge is in the same price range as those two contenders and really could be the selection for the three-year-old crop. D. Wayne Lukas has done a great job getting him race-ready and there is a lot to like about his chances if he gets the trip and takes to the track well.

Orb faded out badly late in the Jockey Club Gold Cup and is now priced alongside Palace Malice and Flat Out at a 14/1 price to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic. Since winning the Kentucky Derby, Orb has struggled to find form at important times and really looks to be a quirky horse that can be difficult to bet on. He obviously has the heart and the skill to get the job done but will need to kick on here and make a big statement in order to be taken as seriously as he was back in the springtime.

Alpha is trading at 25/1 and, though he just captured a big race not too long ago, he failed to fire in the Jockey Club Gold Cup and was left sputtering. Planteur can also be backed at a 25/1 margin.
