2013 Dubai World Cup Ante Post Betting Tips Part 2

A few other Godolphin notables to mention include 25/1 long-shot City Style, but it's the France-based Saint Baudolino who comes out of Mahmood Al Zarooni's yard. He was last seen scoring in a high-priced Group 2 contest at Deauville. He notably came second in the Group 1 Prix Du Jockey Club last June at Chantilly.

Ever-present global challenger St Nicholas Abbey is still in the mix and gets plenty of credibility from the bookmakers with a solid price of 12/1. He's shown his ability to get up and tangle with the type of competition he'll find here and he has put in some solid shifts at Meydan in the past. He looks decent value for money but you do reckon that he will not necessarily be the focus of attention this time out anyway.

Igugu is a lightly-raced Mike De Kock trainee who is regally-bred, by Galileo out of an Intikhab mare. De Kock specializes in these types of runners and it's going to be interesting to see how his carnival actually goes – he didn't have the flashiest of years last time and he'll need to build up his momentum a bit more.

Two of the most interesting runners in the mix for the 2013 Dubai World Cup are stablemates that come out of American trainer Dale Romans' barn. Little Mike, who won the Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita, along with the synthetic freak Dullahan are two of the most widely-anticipated contenders for this one.

Little Mike was one of the longest shots at this year's Breeders' Cup but he produced a high-quality result on the day. It remains to be seen whether he will be pointed at another race with Dullahan looking like the Dubai World Cup will suit him.

It was his massive upstart victory in the Grade 1 Pacific Classic – defeating older horses (including National Champion Game On Dude) and setting a track record in the process – that Dullahan proved he was a real force to be reckoned with. Two subsequent efforts on turf did not pan out at all and he will head back to synthetic for this high-priced race.
