Chicago Grey has been relatively heavily-raced this year and seems to be coming into form at just the right time. He won his last time out and has been on the improve after some lackluster efforts earlier in the season. His price has been steadily dropping from 16s and is now floating around a 12/1 listing. Expect him to remain competitive going forward and don’t rule out a run on his price on the day.

JP McManus has a pair of well-fancied contenders going into the National (I’m sure that’s a big surprise to everybody). Both of them trade at 14/1 so you can lock in a 7/1 payout on the McManus double if you act now. Sunnyhillboy and Colbert Station both deserve the plaudits and it really looks to be Colbert Station who the punters are warming up to. He’s been trimmed to 14/1 after floating at a 16/1 for quite a while.
Sunnyhillboy had been pointed towards the National for most of the year and his price opened at 20/1 when the original declarations went out. he’s now been bet down to 14/1 and many are counting on his past experience to serve him well going forward.
One of the biggest stories in this year’s Grand National is the presence of Imperial Commander, who didn’t make the Cheltenham Gold Cup and was instead pointed in this direction, the Nicky Henderson-trained former Gold Cup champion has seen a price of 33/1 get taken into 16/1 at the moment and you can really expect a lot of late money to come in on this former world-beater, especially if he makes a really nice pre-race appearance.
He was second in his only outing so far in the 2012/13 National Hunt season but looks to be gathering steam for a crack at the 4m showpiece.
