- By A.J. He finished third in the Epsom Derby and is heading back to Ireland for his first effort there since his maiden score at Leopardstown back in mid-April.

Expect him to take plenty of support from the locals on the day but you do have to wonder whether he is being overplayed at 5/1 ante post at this point. He went off 25/1 in the Epsom Derby and 5/1 puts him out of each-way territory and you have to reckon that’s where the value lies.
Trading Leather is the intriguing option and the best-priced selection who didn’t make it to Epsom. He has been raced three times in the span of a month already but if his connections continue to turn him out, you have to assume that he’s fit for this one and definitely up for the challenge. He has only been campaigned at Group 1 level once before and he finished a distant fifth of seven to Kingsbarns at Doncaster last October.
He enters the race fresh off a score at listed level against Lines of Battle at the Curragh and was able to muster up a third-place finish at Group 1 level in the Irish 2000 Guineas.
The son of Teofilo will relish the distance and will appreciate the extra races under his belt. A key reference here is his second-place effort to Libertarian at York on his seasonal debut in the Group 2 Dante Stakes.
