2013 Royal Ascot Betting Preview Part 2
- By A.J. There is plenty of solid action on the Tuesday card as well with both the Coventry Stakes and the Kings Stand set to offer up some interesting handicapping challenges to punters far and wide.

Shea Shea looks to be the banker in the King’s Stand and this impressive contender had an excellent carnival season down in Dubai and looks likely to move forward and put together a very solid performance in this race. While not getting played down to Animal Kingdom-style levels, this horse is continuing to take a substantial amount of money.
As it currently stands, Shea Shea can be backed at 2/1 and that price is likely to be shorter on the day. Shea Shea’s efforts are definitely helped by the fact that good ground looks likely and you can expect a number of punters to be banking on him relishing the firmer going.
The next best-priced challenger is the talented Reckless Abandon, while you can also expect the likes of Sole Power and Kingsgate Native to continue to drop in the ante post market as we get closer to the big race itself.
Sole Power trades at 10/1 with Kingsgate Native available at a 14/1 price tag. Prohibit is in the mix as well and can be backed at a lengthy 33/1 - making him an interesting outside shot for this race.
