2013 Royal Ascot Betting Preview Part 3

Stubbs is taking the bulk of the action at this point and trades at a competitive 4/1, though some might find that’s a bit too short of a price when backing a race with so many different contenders.

Championship looks an interesting option and will certainly take money at 6/1. Take a gander at Coach House as well with an 8/1 price tag while Sir John Hawkins trades at an identical price alongside Wahaab.
40/1 Extortionist looks to be the interesting outside contender who could get up and surprise, provided they get the right type of trip.
The action will continue to come thick and fast on Wednesday’s Royal Ascot card with the Royal Hunt Cup and the Prince of Wales Stakes. The Prince of Wales’ will be especially attractive with the likes of Al Kazeem and Camelot ready to slug it out for the top spot. The Fugue and Red Cadeaux are also going to be competitive in this one so expect some very interesting swings in the ante post market as we get closer to the off.
There is a fairly limited field for that one and the conditions underfoot could also contribute to a few more withdrawals on race day. One would not be surprised to see a field of 8 actually coming out of the gates on Wednesday.
