2013 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle Ante Post Betting Tips Part 3

Dodging Bullets boasts a stellar ante post price of 14/1 with several bookmakers and that makes him a very interesting wager - and even brings him into each way territory. You can assume his price will drop once his plans get firmed up for this race in the coming weeks.

Melodic Rendezvous is another solid contender who trades around the 14/1 mark. He most recently notched his first graded score when he took a Grade 2 effort at Sandown in early January. Some will remember him from last year’s Punchestown Festival when he finished second in their bumper race when sent off at 16/1.

Look for Nick Schofield to get the mount and to deploy his usual late flourish. You do have to admit that Dodging Bullets looks better value for money at this stage of the ante post game.

The JP McManus-owned My Tent Or Yours is going to be AP McCoy’s mount for this race and, though this contender hasn’t really accomplished a huge amount at this point, he doesn’t look have really been exposed either. He hasn’t finished outside of the top two in any of his six career efforts and he has finished second in a Grade 2 contest at Aintree. McCoy has been in the irons on his last few rides and you can expect some more McCoy magic in this one.

With news that AP will be aboard, several bookmakers have trimmed My Tent Or Yours into 8/1 or even 7/1 while other books keep him around the 14/1 margin. It will be interesting to see where his price actually goes, and he remains the one with the most significant variance in his outright price.

Look for Un Atout to get a bit of attention as Willy Mullins always knows how to show up out of nowhere and pull off big results at Cheltenham with some runners you might have passed over in favour of bigger names. Only raced twice, this five-year-old son of Robin Des Champs still has plenty of upside and a massive victory in a bumper contest last January shows that this one has a lot of room to move forward. 16/1 will see him take money as a bit of an unknown quantity.
