- By A.J. Ryder on August 23, 2013 00:24 GMTDanadana comes out of the Luca Cumani yard and deserves plenty of respect but you wonder whether punters might feel as though Gabrial is trending in the right direction and deserves the respect here.

The Juddmonte entry Pavlosk looks to be the one to beat here in a very tightly-contested race in regards to the odds. Punters will find him installed as the slim favourite with an 11/4 price tag tanglinhg over top of him at the moment. Robin Hoods Bay will also take some money here as well with three wins in his past six and looking sharp with Johnny Murtagh booked for the trip.
The Nunthorpe Stakes is going to be a fascinating encounter and we have a full field of 20 entrants for this big priced 5f dash on the turf. Some really quality contenders have a shot at this one and not the least of which is Shea Shea, who has gone off the boil somewhat recently after putting together a stellar string of victories earlier this year for top South African trainer Mike De Kock.
Sole Power returns for another round with Shea Shea while another set of interesting runners like Kingsgate Native, Kingsgate Choice and Miss Lahar count themselves as entries here.
The real one to watch might be Borderlescott, a veteran handicapper who you would put up against any 5f horse on his day. Without the constant penalty of the handicapper working against him you have to respect his chances here, even if his recent line of form doesn’t read as impressively as you would expect.
The maiden race on Friday is a tricky one full of quality two-year-olds and it’s going to be tough going at the moment as there isn’t even really a set of odds available for this one. Eyes automatically go towards the Godolphin entry and it will be interesting to see how Golden Town actually does on his debut.
Red Galileo is one to watch here and many will be expecting him to improve as he moves forward off a second place finish last time out.
The final race of the day is a 1m handicap contest with some very tricky runners set to contest this one. Majestic Moon will be looking for a fourth victory on the bounce and looks good value for Richard Fahey. Hay Dude is definitely worth a look and looks a fairly sharp bet at 7/1 while Machete Mark gets the edge from the bookmakers right now with a 9/2 listing and the favourites position.
