2015 Arc De Triomphe Ante Post Betting Tips PT 2

Right now, most books are offering 2/1 but some are still leaving Treve up at a respectable 5/2 and with one other run expected prior to the Arc and no real fitness issues coming to light, the ante post wager should be relatively secure in terms of her actually making it into the starting gate on the day of the big race. There are still 24 others in the mix right now though.

Golden Horn has been earning some serious plaudits for his excellent performances at the 1m4f distance and now having seen Jack Hobbs absolutely destroy the Irish Derby, Golden Horn looks even better. It would really be a major feather in his cap if he was able to dethrone the legendary Treve at Longchamp to close out his season but he’s more than likely to be aimed at the Champion Stakes and that might make the timing for the Arc a little trickier than it really needs to be.

Golden Horn trades at about 4/1 with some bookmakers but is still spotted at 6/1 here and there. It will likely start taking some money after his run in the Coral Eclipse this weekend so if you fancy him for the Eclipse you might be able to do well and tuck in at 6s for the Arc De Triomphe. There is a lot of momentum around this horse and we don’t know just how good he really is yet so there is plenty to be excited about and plenty of money still to be made on him.

Highland Reel looks to be very much in the mix for this one too with a decent price hovering around an 8/1 or even 10/1 margin at the moment. He has plenty of ability and has finished right up in there with more than a few of the top 1m4f contenders on the flat circuit in Europe this summer.

Jack Hobbs will be appealing to many after his excellent performance but he still has failed to ever get the better of Golden Horn and, while it will be interesting to see the two lock horns (so to speak) there remains the simple fact that Jack Hobbs just isn’t good enough to outrun him.

Free Eagle will be here as well and he’s priced at a 12/1 margin with a lot of top bookmakers. The High Chaparral colt out of a Danehill mare was able to just get the better of The Grey Gatsby at Royal Ascot by just the slightest of margins when they tangled in the Prince of Wales.
